FoggyLogMon Jun 12th 2006 20:45:20: Fuzzy Focus?Did you know you can adjust the focus of Iiyama CRTs? I didn't until someone at work pointed out that I might be able to fix the slightly fuzzy 19" CRT that I "aquired" from a colleague's desk when they moved jobs. I've discovered that the best way to get a good pair of monitors at work is to steal... IT never ask for it back once it's on your desk and in use... Hence I now have two flat screen Iiyama CRT's - one 19" and one 17" :) Admittedly other people have TFT's, however I stand no chance of getting two of those and one TFT and one CRT make your eyes go funny (I did try it). Anyway to adjust the focus, unplug it and remove the back cover (4 screws and it slides off easily). Then on the left hand side (as you look at the screen) there are two variable resistors. They are not obvious, as they are inside the high voltage part of the CRT. Switch the monitor back on and have a play (with an insulated screw driver!!). The controls are very sensitive so it takes a while to get it just right.
